Greetings, Dr. Stephie here. Happy July 4th. Woohoo!
As you know, in 1776 – now 246 years ago – the Second Continental Congress declared that the 13 colonies were no longer subject to the Monarch of Britain, who was King George the third. They declared that these colonies were now united, free, and independent states. YAY!
I invite you to celebrate today with your family and friends and enjoy the day. Also, I invite you to think about how important this step was for what this country became after that and what it is today. Happy July 4th!
As a personal side note, three years ago, my husband, our son, and I moved to Texas. This will be our fourth, July 4th, in Texas. Texas has been very good to us – Thank you!
Cheers.
I’m Curious
